This project was to provide design recommendations to Lancaster City Council in United Kingdom, on senior citizen engagement and participation into local governance and service provision using design thinking.
This ‘learning by doing’ project involved finding the existing problems by adopting a methodology which included tool kits, in-depth interviews and volunteering, thereby, finding design solutions for the same through the concept of ‘fuzzy front end’.
Posters were used as a medium to introduce the concept of Lancaster Friendship Group as pieces of ‘Jig Saw Puzzle’, which had to be taken care of, and nurtured as a ‘tree’ with some new design ideas.
